We got an early start to be among the first to get into the Louvre. If you're deciding whether or not to get a Museum Card, get one. It saved us time and a whole lot of money. We then visited the Conciergerie, Sainte Chappele and Notre-Dame.

We took the Notre-Dame tour and climbed the 406 steps to get to the top of the towers. No toilets, no lifts...the girls behind us had heels on. That was impressive.

Later that afternoon, we went to the Centre Pomidou's National Museum of Modern Art and followed up with some shopping at Les Halles.
